Bed Sharing Not Good for Health

Bed Sharing Not Good for HealthOften we hear the complaint itself does not sleep well. Do not complain once, since the experts found to share a bed with a partner not just good for health.

Sleep expert Dr.Neil Stanley, as quoted by BBC News, Thursday (10/9/2009) said that every couple should have a separate bed because it is good for your physical health and your relationships.

It's no secret, sometimes the spouse snore or have trouble sleeping position many moves that actually make the couple could not sleep soundly.

One study found almost 50% of couples feel tormented sleep together. In fact, according to Dr Stanley recorded history there is no tradition of sleeping together in Roman times or before the Victorian era.

At that time the husband and wife live in different beds, they just did sleep together if they want to do sexual activity.

But the old era habits change with the rapid industrial revolution when the troop moved to town and they only have a small residence that is not possible to make a lot of room.

Dr Stanley who is one of the founders of sleep laboratory at the University of Surrey, England suggested that people go back to the old tradition to not share a bed.

"It's about how to make you happier. If you sleep together and they sleep well is not a problem, but if your partner has a sleep problem will be different effects for you," he said.

He said people who had difficulty sleeping because of being mostly depression, heart disease, stroke, lung problems, had an accident and divorce issues. But unfortunately sometimes overlooked sleep problems as one of the important aspects of health.

While Dr. Robert Meadows, a sociologist from the University of Surrey , said that many people feel better sleep when they sleep with their partner, but the evidence now indicates otherwise.

He conducted a study to compare how well the couple when they shared a bed or sleep separately.

By examining 40 pairs, he found 50% of couples admitted his sleep disturbed sleep when couples are always moving. Even so, many couples are reluctant to sleep separately and only 8% are made to sleep separately with an age range of 40 to 50 of the year.
